Storyline:
In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia - to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father's memory, and retrieve the lost legion's golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth.

This movie had action and drama as well as it was heart warming. It was a well put together movie. The main actors were very good.

I gotta say, this was a terrific movie. I was never a big fan of Channing Tatum since he was in those dance movies and all that, but by watching this movie, my views has changed on him. Tatum and Bell were great from beginning to end i do suggest everyone go see this movie if you are interested in history and the roman empire. Tatum's father lead 5,000 men into unconquered land with the golden eagle which he lost, and numerous years later he goes on a quest in search of that eagle to restore his family's legacy. It takes you on a journey through a mystical land and im sure you will enjoy it. I def. want to see this again. Channing Tatum did a great job and this movie totally made me a fan of his. Jamie Bell did a awesome job as well. Go see it.

I like the historical aspect. I also feel like it is an excellent action-adventure movie particularly for those "tweens" . All the action minus the sex and gore.

An interesting movie, but a little bit predictable. Pretty good acting, especially from the leading man. Definitely a good way to spend an evening! Recommended for just about everyone, but be warned- it's a little bit bloody at times.
